when i wrote it became normal i was so very wrong, last nite was the only night in my life when i kept awake because i couldnt fall asleep due to the large noise. i dont remember the exact time but i roughly remember seeing the clock at 4 30 am when lightning occured. you can feel that the thunderstorm was coming over the island slowly. when the second lightning ( after i woke up) i quickly started counting seconds, it was approximately 10 seconds, so it was like 2 miles away, and as minutes went it reduced to 5 and as it got on top of the island less than 2 seconds. you can feel it. when the thuner strikes the glasses shrieked i was afraid they may crack. i dont remember seeing such weather forecast last night so i quickly googled for addu atoll weather adn it was 'thurdersotrm' for the entire day. moments later dad woke up and came into my room and asked to unplug tv, computer mobile and everythings important, if lightening distrupts the electricity service all of them will go dead. ( there was rather a little chance of the ligtening reaching up to my room, because there are four breaker systems at the house atleast one of them will go on time and save it, but why take the chance) moments after dad left mom came she was expecting me to be rather afraid but as i was awake she left ( you might be wondering why they woke up so late, there room is like 50% sound proof so the rumbling thunder sounded rather less inside their room).  right after mom left a lightning, and the lights in the room glew and THUNDER, oh got it scared the hell out of me, it was right on top of you, you can feel it.  more than the thunder the glow of the lights in the room was scarying. i gave a little shriek sitting on my bed and jumped off and ran as quickly as light into my parents bedroom. knocked on the door and went in. their expression clearly said they were expecting me to come running any second. after i went into that room the thundering got lesser ( or i couldnt hear them) mom and dad were talking about if the rain water collection things and all were connected or not, and all of a sudden dad said fishermans had left for fishing too, this was rather a touchy new. maldives was build on the back of fisherman, its the oldest thing we have been doing, and when dad said this i prayed that they all be alright. the seas were expected to be not-at-all-calm. so nayways after i went into the room i put a mattress right next to parents bed and laied trying to sleep unsucessfully, it was still raining but no lightning or thunder then moments later you can hear thunder from the eash around 4 miles off. if you are wondering the island is only 1 mile in width so the landfall was for only for a few brief minutes. 

i would so love to be a storm chaser but then that would mean i would have to give up all my other dreams. so lets say storm chasing as a free time fun work.
